Glykeria Returns to Israel and Moves Her Audience Once Again

Despite the challenges and criticism of the past year, the beloved Greek singer returned to Israel, reaffirming a special bond that has lasted for decades.

Some artists visit Israel simply to perform a concert. Others return to a place where they feel a deep and familiar connection. Glykeria clearly belongs to the second category.

The acclaimed Greek singer returned to Israel this week, launching her new tour with her first concert at Kibbutz Ein Hashofet. Her appearance carried special significance, coming after a difficult period during which she faced criticism, pressure and reactions in Greece because of her public stance toward Israel.

Despite the tense atmosphere and the challenges that preceded her return, Glykeria never hid her love and appreciation for the Israeli audience. Speaking about the beginning of her tour, she said:

“I am happy to be here again. I missed the Israeli audience and I hope peace will prevail.”

Glykeria’s relationship with Israel is not recent. It goes back several decades, with many performances across the country and a strong presence that has made her one of the most beloved Greek artists among Israeli audiences. Over the years, the public in Israel has embraced her with warmth, recognizing in her voice and performances something authentic, emotional and deeply human.

In recent months, some of her scheduled appearances did not take place due to strong reactions and increased security requirements. However, her return to the Israeli stage shows that her connection with the audience remains strong.

Following her first concert at Ein Hashofet, Glykeria’s tour continues in several cities across Israel, giving thousands of fans the opportunity to see her live once again and experience nights filled with music, emotion and memories.

For many in Israel, Glykeria’s return is more than just a concert announcement. It is a moment that highlights the power of music to connect people, even during times of tension and difficulty.

Glykeria has returned to an audience that knows her, loves her and continues to welcome her with deep emotion.
