One-day excursion program

Departure from our city and with a stop for our morning coffee, we head for Kastoreio. It is a green mountain village with amazing architecture and a beautiful square, at an altitude of 500m, on the north side of Taygetos, in the prefecture of Laconia. It has traditional restaurants, cafes and shops where you can buy local products (olive oil, nuts, walnuts, chestnuts and from the fish farm caviar, fresh smoked trout and salmon). Among other things we will see the springs of Agios Mamma, the old watermill, the trout and salmon farm where the first caviar in Greece is produced. Then we will depart for another beautiful village, Georgitsi. It has a wonderful view, which is why it is called the “balcony of Taygetos”. Its characteristic feature is the chestnut forest above the village. Return to our town with the best impressions of this beautiful side of the Taygetos.
