Paola starts the winter season at THEAMA

Paola, one of Greece’s biggest voices, opens this winter season at Theama club in Athens and brings with her an atmosphere full of energy and emotion every Friday and Saturday. With her on stage, the talented singer Christos Menidiatis. Both of them promise to warm up the cold nights of Athens with unforgettable live performances.

THEAMA is part of a new trend that has been gaining momentum in Athens over the last two years – the rise of smaller and more intimate stages. More and more venues, with a capacity of around 300-500 people, are opening and hosting the country’s biggest artists, not on big stages, but in more personal spaces. This change is an interesting shift from the big stages and huge clubs we’ve seen in the past. Despite the small size, the atmosphere in these places is unique, offering a more up close and personal experience with the artists.

This concept started with Anna Vissi, who first pioneered with appearances in a small club. Then followed artists such as Peggy Zina at BARAONDA and Yiannis Plutarchos, who moved his performances to Anodos. Natasa Theodoridou also chose Akti Pireos, which, although a bit bigger, does not belong to the huge scenes we were used to.

Reducing the size of the stages does not necessarily mean a reduction in prices – in fact, prices may be even higher as venues have to cover their running costs. However, the experience on offer is much more intimate, with closer interaction with the artists and the opportunity to enjoy the music in a more personal and intimate space.

The performances of Paola and Christos Menidiatis will take place every Friday and Saturday, and will undoubtedly be one of the main attractions for the winter night outs of 2024. The small and intimate stages offer the audience the opportunity to enjoy live performances in a special atmosphere – a combination of traditional Greek music with an atmosphere of fun and excitement.
