The world-loved composer of the greatest timeless popular hits Christos Nikolopoulos, celebrating 60 years of active action, recognition and uninterrupted contribution to the culture and musical events of our country, on Saturday September 7 opens wide the gates of the Conservatory of Herodes Atticus for the long-awaited anniversary his concert, flooding the heart of Athens and one of the most emblematic historical places of the capital with his melodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this unrepeatable musical evening, at the foot of the Acropolis, the dynamic presence will be given by favorite performers who wrote their names in big letters in the golden course of the great music composer. Melina Aslanidou, Glykeria, Stelios Dionysiou, Peggy Zina, Kostas Makedonas and Pizza Papadopoulou will perform with him on the Herodeion stage, while the inexhaustible and multi-talented composer will also honor him with their presence Stamatis Kraunakis and the legendary performer Giorgos Dalaras. The artistic curation and presentation of the show is overseen by the important man of the theater and the arts, Ierocles Michaelidis, while the orchestra will be conducted by conductor Nikos Stratigos. In fact, the Spyros Lambros Children’s Choir as well as the bouzouki ensemble of the Ilio Music School will participate in this great tribute and invest the event with their own unique feeling and energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also noteworthy is the fact that the concert will be dedicated to the insurmountable Markos Vamvakaris, at the initiative of Christos Nikolopoulos, who in this way wishes to pay tribute to one of the cornerstones of Greek culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christos Nikolopoulos, born and raised in Kapsochori, Imathia, being a self-taught musician with original folk creative instincts, came to Athens and collaborated artistically with the like-minded beasts of his time, becoming very soon widely accepted and admired and eventually leaving – as time and history – his own precious compositional legacy, always carrying in his Art all the quality he drew from his main recruits, Vamvakaris, Tsitsanis, Papaioannou, Zambeta and other founders of the sharp folk song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The master of the bouzouki, Christos Nikolopoulos, stamped with his pen and with his characteristic compositional imprint 60 successive decades, with legendary collaborations, setting to music the great verses of Lefteris Papadopoulos, Pythagoras, Manos Eleftheriou, Manolis Rasoulis, Antonis Andrikakis, of Lina Nikolakopoulou and many other great workers of speech and poetry, who stood out through the excellent performances of Stelios Kazantzidis, Stratos Dionysios, Giorgos Dalaras, Haroula Alexiou, Eleni Vitalis, Dimitris Mitropanos, Paschalis Terzis, Kostas Makedona, Glykeria, Manolis Angelopoulos, Manolis Mitsias, Manolis Lidakis and many more unsurpassed Greek performers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So as a culmination of these 60 years of his constant presence and creativity, the charismatic Christos Nikolopoulos promises a historic night on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the Herodeion, in the shadow of the Erechtheion, an unsurpassed concert in which one great success will succeed the other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
